WoW Woes: In-Game Mail Goes Missing

ingamemail.jpg

The events that unfolded over the last couple of hours have been an agonizing wait for World of Warcraft players. The usual downtime brought about by maintenance day lasted well beyond the normal period, causing unrest to many of Azeroth's denizens. When the realms came back online, Azerothians reeled in horror as they discovered that their in-game mail was missing, the contents of which ranged from simple letters to messages filled to the brim with items and gold. Blizzard, in its unending (and arguably futile) quest to calm the masses brought the realms down again to investigate the issue, causing many to moan and scream and grumble.

Now, the servers are back, but all is not well because the mail problem has not been resolved. Blizzard has announced that it will be doing its best to reimburse what was lost. Till then, players can only wait. Time will tell how this mail mishap concludes.

The funny thing about this is that all will be forgiven by tomorrow when Wrath of the Lich King is released. Unless the realms go back down again, of course.
