The Wii Is Set To Fulfill Your Lightsaber Fantasies

starwarstheforceunleashed.jpg

In the eyes of Star Wars fans, the Wii-mote was made for one thing and one thing only: to give players the power to wield a lightsaber. We reported about that possibility a few months ago and now it's going to be a reality. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed will feature the long-anticipated Wii-mote-controlled lightsaber combat. To sweeten the deal further, it will also allow Force manipulation via the nunchuk.

The game’s story is set during the era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV A New Hope.

The Wii version, in development by Krome Studios, will also feature an exclusive duel mode in which players can compete head-to-head with their friends.

Expect the lightsaber peripherals for the Wii-mote to follow.
