Sony PS2 Getting Wii-Like Controls After All

realplay.jpg

A long while back, there were rumors floating around that the PS2 would be getting motion-sensitive controls similar to the Nintendo Wii, which was still known as the Revolution at the time. This later manifested itself in the form of SIXAXIS controls on the PlayStation 3. Well, those controls just aren't quite the same as going for a quick bowling session in Wii Sports.

Well, some company called In2Games has decided to create some motion-sensing peripherals for Sony's last-gen gaming machine and they plan on unveiling the creation at the Leipzig Gaming Convention in Germany. What you get is a motion-sensitive controller of some kind to go with sporting titles like Realplay Bowling, Realplay Tennis, and Realplay Golf. Right, and that doesn't sound familiar at all. Other titles in the lineup include Realplay Pool, Realplay Racing, and Realplay Puzzlesphere.

What makes these six titles different than Wii Sports is that you have to buy them individually. And they're going to be about $60 a pop when they hit retail outlets around Christmas-time.
