Rock on! Guitar Hero Wii-bound!

Guitar Hero Wii

Jealous of your buddy and how he can tear up those riffs on his PlayStation 2 or Xbox 360, and how you're left hurling cows in Rayman Raving Rabbids? Well, get your rocker clothes on and ready, because according to Activision CEO Mike Griffiths, they're bringing the Guitar Hero franchise over to the Nintendo Wii. Can you imagine doing a whammy with the motion-sensitive Wii Remote?

This isn't just some random rumor created by a Wii fanboy either. Nope, this is confirmation from Activision's head honcho himself. This was during a Q3 2007 Preliminary Financial Results Conference Call. It is possible that Guitar Hero could be heading to the DS instead (or also). In Mike's own words: "In fiscal 2008, we will double our offerings on the DS and the Wii, including Spider-Man, Shrek, Transformers, and Guitar Hero."

Whether we're going to be touch-sensitive or motion-sensitive for a Ninendo-powered Guitar Hero romp, I'm stoked as, well, I have both systems.
