Players Who Left WoW For WAR Are Coming Back

spotlight_logo_wowwrath_on.jpg

Former World of Warcraft players who left the game and joined Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning are coming back to their roots.

While a number of World of Warcraft users dropped the widely popular MMO to play EA's recently released Warhammer Online, more than half of those gamers have already returned to Blizzard's market-leader.

That's according to COO Paul Sams, who said the pattern of players leaving and then returning to Warcraft follows that of any major MMO release.

It's apparently a pattern that Blizzard is used to by now. A new MMO is released, players leave WoW and then they come back. Who knew that the saying "old habits die hard" would be applicable to gaming? What does WoW have that keeps players coming back for more? Well, whatever it is, Wrath of the Lich King is only a few weeks away. We're in for even more WarCraft than ever before.
