No World Of Warcraft: Burning Crusade In 2006

So many World of Warcraft fans are going to be upset. It looks like Blizzard has sent out a press release officially announcing that Burning Crusade, the next expansion of WoW, has been deleted.

Originally scheduled for release in late November, the expansion is now scheduled for release in January 2007.

The press release notes that, "[b]y adding a few extra weeks to the development cycle beyond its original target date, Blizzard will be able to extend the closed beta test and further refine the new content that will ship with the game."

Refinement is always a good idea, but we are talking about more than a month, and while that is not a delay that could "kill" the game, it is something that will create many complaints from die-hard fans waiting for their next challenge.
