Nancy Drew Coming to the Wii

nancydrew.jpg

Unlike other kids around my age, I didn't really grow up ready the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew. I can't really put my finger on why, per se, but it just wasn't the kind of thing that interested me. For folks who did grow up solving mysteries through these novels, however, you could be in for quite a treat.

Sega has announced that it will be porting Nancy Drew: The White Wolf of Icicle Creek over to the Nintendo Wii for this October. The title first appeared on the PC last summer and it represents the 16th installemtn in the long-running youth adventure series. As you can imagine, Sega is going to throw in some motion controls for the Wii version of the game.

"With sales of our popular Nancy Drew PC series continuing its year-over-year growth, we felt that it was the natural progression to expand the brand into the console arena," said Megan Gaiser, president and CEO of Her Interactive. "Additionally, the layout, interface and style of our Nancy Drew games make them an ideal fit for the Wii audience, and we are pleased to introduce this title with such a respected partner as Sega."
