Mario Strikers Charges Onto Wii's WiFi Service

mariostrikinwifi.jpg

It's not very often that I'm unhappy about being a Canadian. We have public health care. We have a beautiful cultural mosaic with all sorts of ethnic food. All in all, I'm proud to be a Canuck. But it's times like these that make me a little upset because we have yet to get an online game for the Nintendo Wii wherein we can challenge our friends online. Sure, we can exchange messages, check the weather, and swap Mii avatars, but when will I be able to frag my Japanese buddy on the other side of the Earth?

Luckily for the people of the UK though, Mario Strikers Charged for the Wii -- the hyper-active soccer football game featuring all of Nintendo's favorite characters -- is going to fully support the Nintendo WiFi Connection, allowing gamers to hit the pitch against other players across the street, across the country, or (theoretically) across the globe.

If you happen to be down London way, Charged will go on sale on May 25th.
