Hoping They're Real: Starcraft 2 News

g00256gi9wg.jpg

I'm taking this with a grain of salt until I hear more. Out of the resources that I have, I only found two reports, so I'm exercising caution before I get all excited and giggle like a schoolboy. Or a schoolgirl, whichever giggles more, in your opinion.

A new South Korean source claims that, according to a leak, Blizzard will be announcing StarCraft 2 at the World Wide Invitational, on the 19th of May 2007.

According to a post at Thisisgame.com, Blizzard will announce the sequel for StarCraft in the home land of StarCraft: South Korea. The World Wide Invitational (WWI) is a Blizzard event where top gamers are invited to play Blizzard's games, and that's where the announcement is claimed to be.

Yes, you read it right, Starcraft 2. I'm with you in hoping that this isn't a very late and very bad April Fool's joke.
