Hands-On with Guitar Hero World Tour

Because of certain technical limitations, the Nintendo Wii versions of several games come a little crippled compared to their Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 counterparts. The graphical prowess is one of the first thing that comes to mind, but the lack of a hard drive limits the DLC possibilities of the Wii as well. Thankfully, that has changed, somewhat, with the latest generation of rhythm games on the Wii.

While the Wii won't have a hard drive, gamers will now be able to download new songs for Guitar Hero World Tour onto either the Wii's 512MB of internal memory or onto an inserted SD card. Better still, songs loaded on the SD card do not have to be transferred (think Virtual Console) to work in the game. The track use is seamless for the player. That has to be one of the greatest innovations compared to GH3.

Anyhow, IGN Wii has a hands-on video of GHWT for the Wii and I've embedded that below. Guitar Hero World Tour comes out on October 26.
