Halo Prequel is Third-Person

haloprequel.jpg

Without a doubt, the Halo franchise has been incredibly successful for Bungie and Microsoft, serving as the flagship for both the original Xbox and the current Xbox 360. People swarmed to retailers in droves to get their hands on Halo 3, because they knew that it was going to be stellar and it was a must-have title for any first-person shooter enthusiast.

Halo 3 was supposed to complete the story arc for Master Chief and the rest of the Halo universe. It was in that game that you could "finish the fight", so we were given the impression that it would be the final game in the series. I guess we were led astray. Bungie and Microsoft aren't going to leave that huge cash cow on the table and not milk it for all its worth!

The current rumor is that Bungie is working on a Halo prequel, and what's more, the game will not be a FPS. Instead, it will be conducted in the third person. It is also implied that there is no Master Chief, as the Halo prequel chronicles "early skirmishes between the ODST troops and the Covenant."
