Guitar Hero: On Tour for DS Gets Sequel

gh-ontour-decades.jpg

Even though the original Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS was only released a mere month ago, the sales figures have been enough of a motivating factor for Activision to announce that a sequel is already in the works. As far as we can tell, and based on how Guitar Hero games have gone thus far, the new DS rhythm game will be much like the first one, except with new songs and maybe a couple more options.

Dubbed Guitar Hero: On Tour Decades, I'm thinking that it'll be like Rock the '80s, but without such a specific 10-year focus. Instead, you should be getting some rocking tracks from, well, different decades. In this way, GH:OTD won't be all that different than previous incarnations that included music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and so on. They also say that there is a song-sharing feature of some kind.

Perhaps the biggest innovation would be the inclusion of the microphone on the DS. It could be karaoke or it might be a fresh way to activate star power. Just make sure you don't have to say "brew" when you really mean "blue", okay? Thanks.
