Guitar Hero 3 Gets Halo 3 Theme For Free

halo3guitarhero3.jpg

Are you ready to rock with Master Chief? When he's not finishing the fight and convincing himself to believe, the green helmet-wearing warrior picks up a miniature guitar and battles it out with his red and blue buddies in Guitar Hero III. And now you can join in on the action.

Activision has announced that a remixed version of the Halo theme will be made available for download on the Xbox Live Marketplace tomorrow and the best part is that the added content comes absolutely free of charge. It will cost you nothing, nadda, not a penny to get your Guitar Hero III fix of a Halo theme.

Naturally, this move is designed to steal a little bit of thunder away from Rock Band's release earlier this week. I've been playing GH3 on my Wii for the last week and I have to say that it's terribly addicting. It'll be interesting to see who wins the war between Guitar Hero and Rock Band, now that the former has Master Chief on its side.
