GameTap dance, dances with Fall Out Boy

gametap-falloutboy.jpg

Turns out that video games and video game-related videos just aren't lucrative and/or attractive enough for the folks at GameTap, because according to Joystiq, the online video game service has expanded into the music download industry by offering its customers a selection of head-bobbing tracks from Fall Out Boy and The Hold Steady.

I thought GameTap was all about bringing us a whole whack of retro video games and casual titles so that we could enjoy the likes of Sonic, Space Invaders, and Rampage on our computers. I guess they want us to dance dance too. I guess this is in an effort to give their subscribers "added value", which I guess is all fine and dandy if the prices don't increase as a result and if they don't lose sight of what their site is supposed to be all about: video games.
