Four Ways to Play Super Smash Bros Brawl on the Wii

smashbroscontrol.jpg

This is either a very bright idea or a very dumb one, but we hear that Super Smash Bros Brawl for the Nintendo Wii will support four different control schemes. This makes it so that anyone, regardless of controller preference, can get in on the crazy Solid Snake versus Pikachu action.

As you can see above, the four different control styles are:

1) Wii Remote on its side
2) Wii Remote with Nunchuck
3) Gamecube controller
4) Classic Controller

Based on what these seem to indicate, motion sensitive controls are absolutely not necessary to enjoy SSMB. Only option 2, most likely, will have any sort of motion-based functionality. I'll probably go with the Wiimote-only route, for the sake of simplicity.
