First Look at Wii Guitar Hero: World Tour Guitar

gh-worldtour-guitar.jpg

Remember when we heard a little while ago that the guitar for the upcoming Guitar Hero: World Tour would have touch-sensitive controls in addition to the physical fret buttons? We weren't exactly sure how these would work and whether they would just be there for solos or whatever, but at least we can now see the new guitar in the flesh. Er, or in the plastic. Whatever.

The version of the guitar pictured here is for the Nintendo Wii and you can quite clearly see the touch-based fret buttons on the lower portion of the neck. I guess the idea is that these would provide a more realistic experience for real guitar players. Not that Guitar Heroes aren't real guitar players or anything.

If you click through to the rest of the IGN article, you'll also get an up-close look at the drum kit. The pads are supposed to be quieter and the Wii version will be wireless. Nice.
