Boogie Sequel Confirmed, But Why?

boogiesequel.jpg

I understand that the rhythm game genre is more popular than ever, seeing how everyone simply cannot get enough Rock Band and Guitar Hero. The original Boogie game from Electronic Arts was supposed to capture this part of the market as well, but I don't think it ever achieved the same level of popularity as the GH and RB.

Even so, it seems like EA is working on a sequel and it's going to be called Boogie Superstar. I haven't had a chance to play the first Boogie, but the vast majority of reviews on the web for that game weren't exactly favorable. Maybe the inclusion of the Balance Board will make Boogie Superstar better. Then again, maybe it won't.

Would you be interested or is EA just wasting their time?
