Blizzard & Activision Merge

Blizzard and Activision have merged, proving that even in the Internet age, you can still manage to surprise people. Since I browse gaming websites everyday, I'm pretty sure no one saw this coming other than the companies involved (by the way, kudos to both parties for keeping a very tight lid on things). With that said, what does this mean for us gamers? For starters, Blizzard is saying that their beloved MMORPG World of Warcraft will not be affected by the merger. Development for upcoming titles such as Starcraft 2 will continue as scheduled.

This PDF detailing the merger also reveals what titles Activision has planned: Guitar Hero IV, Call of Duty 5, new James Bond, Tony Hawk, Marvel and DreamWorks titles. That's a lot of things to look forward to. Let's see what else these two giants have in store for us in the coming months.
