59,000 World of Warcraft Accounts Banned

On the Official World of Warcraft message boards, a word of warning to all those that try to cheat the system has been posted. It seems that Blizzard has banned 59,000 accounts from the game, as well as the removal of 22 million gold from the game world.

According to the message, all of the accounts were banned for using "third-party programs to farm gold and items." Good on WoW for cracking down on such problems. I still think they have a long way to go to make a more "fair" online world, but this is a great start.
